Authors' Biographies
Rick A. Johnson is the owner and lead therapist of the Healing Arts Center. Johnson has earned his Master’s degree from Metropolitan State University. Certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), Sr. Rosalind Gefre Schools and Clinics, and the City of Prior Lake, Johnson works with high school and college athletes in treatment of pain and injury rehabilitation. Recent articles include “Prevention and Care of Wrestling Injuries” and a feature in Massage Magazine on the “Healing Arts Protocol”. Johnson, with co-author Latterell, is publishing the Healing Arts Handbook, PEARSON Prentice Hall Anatomy Flashcards (1Q/2007) and the LWW Healing Arts Protocol Textbook (4Q/2007).
Pam Latterell earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She has training and expertise in physical therapy, athletic training and orthopedic massage. Latterell earned her Professional Massage Therapy certificate from Sr. Rosalind Gefre Schools and Clinics of Massage. Latterell is the former school Director of the St. Paul Campus and continues as an active instructor at the St. Paul and Rochester locations. Pam has completed advanced orthopedic massage training with James Waslaski and worked with the University of Minnesota Women's Track team. Latterell also partners with a local chiropractor on seminars concerning car accident injuries teaching massage therapists how they can facilitate the healing process.
